Together We Vin-Ter

Pushing your limits; Transforming the world.

We are dedicated to creating opportunities for global connection through languages and culture while actively volunteering and collaborating with our communities.

Together We Vin-Ter

Our Story

Together We Vin-ter was established by Kevin A. Lee, who embarked on his global journey at the age of 15,  He envisioned a center that would be accessible to everyone—a safe space for women, men, and children to learn, share, and live with no fear.

Our
Mission

"Connecting cultures through accessible language education that breaks down barriers and builds bridges in communities across America."

At Vin-Ter Language School, we believe that language is the key to understanding, empathy, and unity. Our mission is to make high-quality language education accessible to everyone across the United States, regardless of their economic background. Through our 65+ language programs, income-based financial assistance, and community partnerships, we create opportunities for meaningful cultural exchange that enriches communities nationwide.

Our
Vision

"A connected America where language barriers no longer limit opportunities, relationships, or dreams in any community."

We envision a future where every person across the United States has access to the language skills they need to thrive personally and professionally. Starting from our foundation in the DMV area, we aim to expand nationwide by 2030, becoming America's leading community resource for accessible language education, having helped hundreds of thousands of students connect with new cultures, advance their careers, and build lasting relationships across linguistic and cultural divides.

Why We Chose to Become an NGO

Our Commitment to True Accessibility & Inclusion

At Vin-Ter Language School, we made the decision to become a nonprofit organization because we believe language education should be accessible to everyone - regardless of income, background, religion, sexual orientation, or cultural identity.

Unlike many NGOs that may have religious foundations or specific cultural limitations, we intentionally created a secular, inclusive space where anyone can feel free to be themselves while learning and growing together. We celebrate diversity in all its forms and believe that mutual respect and collaboration make us stronger as a community.

A Personal Mission Born from Experience

Our founder's personal journey across different cultures as a gay individual revealed the profound challenges that marginalized communities face when language barriers intersect with cultural prejudices. These experiences ignited a passion to create something different - a place where:

  • Every student feels safe and valued for who they are

  • Cultural differences are celebrated, not merely tolerated

  • Language learning becomes a bridge to understanding and acceptance

  • Diversity is our strength, not something to be hidden or changed

Breaking Down Multiple Barriers

We recognize that many people face intersectional challenges - not just language barriers, but also:

  • Economic limitations (addressed through our income-based financial assistance)

  • Cultural discrimination (countered by our inclusive environment)

  • Religious or ideological restrictions (eliminated through our secular approach)

  • Identity-based exclusion (prevented through our diversity commitment)

Creating Lasting Change

By becoming an NGO, we're not just teaching languages - we're actively promoting social change. Every student who learns in our inclusive environment becomes an ambassador for diversity and respect in their own communities. We're building a ripple effect of understanding that extends far beyond our classrooms.

Our Promise: At Vin-Ter Language School, you will never be asked to hide who you are to learn with us. Instead, we invite you to bring your authentic self and help us create a community where everyone belongs.

"At Vin-Ter, we believe in celebrating authenticity, not changing it. Our mission is to build bridges of understanding and respect between all cultures and identities."
